Tagsibol nang siya’y isinilang,
ngunit ni dampi ng Diyosa’ng
namumukadkad,
o ‘di kaya’y malanghap
ang kanyang halimuyak
ipinagkait,
ng berdugong mandaragit,
halang at kasuklam-suklam.

Tagpunla ng siya’y namulat,
ngunit bago pa man mahawakan
ang karit,
ani’y di naisaboy sa hangin,
o ‘di kaya’y matikman
ang biyayang butil
kinitil ng lupit ng sugong ganid
