Dear Friends in Peace,

Peace is a Human Right.

Join us as we bring this message across and as we continue to make the call for All-Out Peace in Mindanao through a cultural solidarity walk on December 3, Saturday from Bantayog ng mga Bayani to the Commission on Human Rights Office with a stop at the Quezon City Circle for the walk on the 30 Articles of the UN Declaration of Human Rights.

To close the Mindanao Week of Peace, we will merge with the Commission on Human Rights and its contingents to call out for Peace as a Human Right during their walk to open the Human Rights Week.

Walking together helps us affirm Peace as our shared heritage and vision for our shared future. We will engage the civil society, government, diplomatic community, academe, media, religious, and the public with a creative, interactive, and participatory walk.

Please join us by sending a confirmation through the following contact
information on or before Friday 2 December 2011.

Please extend our invitation to your network members and friends. Bring malongs, traditional cloths that we can tie together to walk as one weave! Traditional instruments are welcome too.

It’s never a lonely road to peace as we make our voices heard with traditional instruments, gongs, drums, dances, chants, and skits inspired by the cultural arts of Mindanao and the stories of its people. Let’s co-create one strong and whole tapestry of faces, voices, and hearts.

We hope to see you and your partners on Saturday!

Assembly time and program starts at 6:00 am at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani. Please click on the following links for guidance:
