RTD on Martial Law Files and Heroes campaign
Dear fellow human rights advocates,
Greetings of solidarity!
In behalf of the Commission on Human Rights Chairperson, Loretta Ann P. Rosales and her Policy Group, kindly allow me to invite you to a small and informal round table discussion on work that is being done on the AFP Declassified Martial Law Files and the broader campaign for the restitution of the heroes during the time of Martial Rule on Thursday, the 17th of November, 1:00pm at the CHRP conference room.
Our agenda is for the Commission to be able to share with you, human rights organizations with long standing experience in documenting human rights violations, archiving documents and the anti-dictatorship struggle, its laid plans for the broader campaign and making the Martial Law files available to the public. We also look very much forward to your insights, critique and suggestions for the development of our plan of action. Furthermore, we can explore common interest work areas in this entire endeavor where we can multilaterally or bilaterally work together.
Please see attached the draft design paper encompassing the entire endeavor.
With this, may I again convey my sincerest apologies for my lapse during the first meeting which Ms. Rose of PAHRA had generously organized.
I look very much forward to seeing you all on the 17th.
My warmest regards and best wishes to everyone.
Budit Carlos
Advocacy Officer
Office of the Chairperson
Commission on Human Rights Philippines
