LFS hits PNoy for ‘dictatorship’ remark

MANILA, Philippines – “A man with no sense of history.”
This was how the League of Filipino Students (LFS) described President Benigno Aquino after he likened LFS to the Marcos dictatorship during his speech at the investiture of new Ateneo de Manila University president Fr. Jett Villarin last Thursday.
“Our members had been felled by the dictatorship’s bullets from our founding in 1977. And to be cheaply swiped by the son of Ninoy is nothing but the remark of a man with no sense of history,” said LFS national chairperson Terry Ridon.
In his speech, where he reminisced on his college years in Ateneo, the President recounted having apprehensions about joining LFS when it was being organized during the martial law.
“Lahat ho kami, may agam-agam.
