ATM and BIC would like to invite you to an informal discussion (brown bag) about the role of the World Bank Group in the Philippines. We will discuss WB’s projects and policies, particularly on:
– EXTRACTIVES (mining)
– ENERGY (coal, hydro and renewables)
– CLIMATE FINANCING
– ACCESS TO INFORMATION and TRANSPARENCY
– AGROBIOFUELS and LANDGRABBING (palm oil plantations)
– PRIVATE SECTOR LENDING (particularly in the extractives) –> case study on a mining-funded project in Mindanao
– NEW PROGRAM LENDING MECHANISM (and it’s implication to Budget Advocacy)
We hope that this discussion can provide links between the Bank’s operations and your own advocacies and campaigns.
