It was in November 23, 1985 when 8 families of victims of enforced disappearance founded FIND or the Families of Victims of Involuntary Disappearance. It was amidst the escalating struggle of different sectors of society against the Marcos dictatorship when FIND spearheaded the continuous search for truth and justice for all victims of enforced disappearances. Twenty five years after that dark years of our history, FIND continuously to struggle for the protection of people from this horrible human rights violation that still persists up to now.

HRonlinePH intentionally featured www.find.org.ph in lined with the commemoration of the International Week of the Disappeared.  Together with the Asian Federation Against Enforced Disappearances or AFAD, FIND held series of activities that promote the right not to be disappeared and push for the enactment of a domestic law that will criminalize this human rights violation and the Philippine signing and ratification of the U.N. International Convention for the Protection of All Persons Against Enforced Disappearance.

FIND is mass organization of families, relatives, friends and colleagues of victims of enforced disappearance and surfaced desaparecidos that defends human rights.

FIND persistently searches for the disappeared and fights for justice.  A member of the Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates, it links with other human rights defenders organization for the promotion and assertion of human rights in the country and in the international community.
