LILAK calls on your support and solidarity for indigenous women and their families affected by shear line and flooding in Mindanao.

This disaster has devastated more or less 13 localities, including towns in Agusan del Sur, where our Manobo, Banwaon, and Talaandig community partners reside. The flood has forced 131 families to evacuate; most of them still unable to return safely to their homes.

Persistent heavy rains since Friday, January 16, compounded with the presence of quarrying and dam sites in the area continue to worsen the situation.

All monetary support will be used to purchase food packs, hygiene kits, and other necessities for families affected, as well as the indigenous women leaders in Agusan del Sur.
