WokeDTalk2023 Episode 8 | TNK Kalikasan

In light of the United Nations International Youth Day theme, “Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World,” and recognizing the urgent need for youth involvement in environmental protection, this concept paper outlines the framework for an initiative called “Tinig ng Kabataan para sa Kalikasan” (Voices of the Youth for the Environment), abbreviated as TNK KALIKASAN. This initiative seeks to amplify the voices of young people as powerful advocates for environmental rights, climate justice, and sustainable living.
Background and Rationale:
The youth, as the heirs of the future, play a crucial role in shaping the destiny of our planet. Their unique perspectives, energy, and creativity can be harnessed to address pressing environmental challenges. With the increasing recognition of the global climate emergency, the youth also emerge as human rights defenders with a responsibility to ensure a safe, healthy, and sustainable environment for themselves and future generations.
