Department of Education to monitor schools over graduation fee | Sun.Star.
March 24, 2012
THE Department of Education (DepEd) is set to monitor all state-owned primary and secondary schools to ensure none of the schools will collect graduation fees from their students and parents this March.

Luistro was referring to Akap Bata party-list, which recently launched their “Gradfee Monitor 2012”, a program specifically aims to discourage collection or requiring graduating students to pay graduation fee first as one of the prerequisites for graduation.
