Armm policymakers formulate action plan for reform | Sun.Star.

MARAWI CITY, Lanao del Sur — Policymakers in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (Armm) are now in the process of fine-tuning development plans to make way for the key reforms set up by Governor Mujiv Hataman.
Diamadel Dumagay, executive director of the Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO)-Armm, said officials and chief planning officers of different Armm agencies convened in a two-day workshop at the start of this week to formulate an action plan aimed at introducing open governance and reforms in the region.

With only a little over a year to implement the action plan, Dumagay urged policymakers to make their targets attainable within the limited timeframe.
He said the Hataman administration has at least 14 remaining months to institute needed reforms in the region.
“We are confident that the present regional government can perform the reforms mandated by President Benigno Aquino,” Dumagay added.
Lawyer Anwar Malang, Armm executive secretary, said with the right platform and agenda at hand, “the best time to reform Armm” is now.
