ANNOUNCEMENT
The Families of Victims of Involuntary Disappearance (FIND) is currently looking for hardworking and skilled team players, preferably with background/experience in human rights work, to join the organization’s full-time staff in implementing its programs and services. POSITION: Program assistant, Psycho-Social Rehabilitation Program (preferably with a college degree in Social Work)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Assist the Program Officer in the implementation of planned activities under the PSRP for the period.
· Principally take charge in the processing of direct financial assistance or livelihood projects to victims of enforced disappearance and/or their families as contained in the organization’s welfare policies;
· Assists victims and/or their families in applying Survivors Benefits, a form of financial assistance in the Commission on Human Rights;
· Relate to chapter workers/volunteers or directly to victims and/or their families whenever possible to assess their situation and validate their needs as indicated in the application form for welfare assistance as well as in identifying psycho-social therapy needs, in coordination with the Program Officer and the Finance Unit whenever necessary.
· Recommend approval of application of welfare assistance to the PSR Program Officer and to the Secretary-General;
· Submit activity and related finance reports promptly to the Program Officer, the Administrative and Finance Officer and to the Secretary-General.
