Economic, Social and Cultural RightsAsia (ESCR-Asia) is in need of ONE Project Officer:

She/He is expected to:

1. Assist the Executive Director in the implementation of the following:
1.1 Continuing/ongoing activities re: the Right to Food Toolkit including its launching, caravan, and translations
1.2 Continuing Empowerment of the Poor (EoP) phases – policy advocacy (Magna Carta of the Rights of the Informal Sector), research and capacity-building with informal sector/vulnerable groups
1.3 Continuing capacity building activities on ESCRs for both government and non-government agencies and entities
2. Assist in activities of the Asian Consortium for Human Rights-Based Access to Justice (HRBA2J)
3. Be a full-time staff (40 hours a week) after a three-month probationary period and a performance evaluation.

Qualifications:
1. At the minimum, with an M.A. degree/several masteral units in the social sciences or its equivalent in work experience.
2. With at least 3-4 years experience in human rights and development work, particularly in ESCR-related work.
3. With very good skills in training, education, writing and research, communication
4. With information technology skills (Word, Excel, multimedia) including handling a website or willing to learn website administration.
5. Willing to travel within and outside the Philippines.
