For PAL Workers,an appeal….and for those People who care

For grave abuse of discretion amounting to lack or excess of jurisdiction,last Aug 26,Palea filed a petition for Certiorari(C.A.G.R.No.120977),a legal document which sets aside the decision of DOLE that was further reinforced by The Office of the President regarding our outsourcing and termination as regular employees,how can these people be so blind and deaf not to know the fact that PAL US$72.5M last fiscal year,in addition to the US$46.5M that the company paid to its creditors last June 7,2010….Management had always been saying PAL is losing money, it will close if won’t be able to pay it’s creditors,it even earned PHP%5.11B and it did not close….I translated the paper i have in front of me,It’s an effort for me reading Tagalog,because I’m not one….I hope I did a good translation anyway,but I couldn’t go on because I might not be able to do justice to it if I continue…read Panlilinlang Kontra Panindigan it’s in my wall….

A lot of people have been asking if I hold a position in Palea,i do not,and i don’t aspire for that….I do not hold any position primarily because I admit I do not have diplomacy,which is needed for it,I admit that….I could have been a supervisor,though i might have a bit of brain and efficiency for it, but I also do not have any ambition,that’s not what i want,I’m happy where I am….I am just a team player,that’s all i will ever be….i’m just an ordinary person, but in my own way but i also want to contribute more to attaining the success we all want to have..and someday I know we will attain it!!

Greater harvests are coming if I keep on planting,if we keep on planting…we might not have the spectacular results yet, but don’t stop,we all get tired,I also get tired,same shitty treatment that we all know we don’t deserve….it seems to be never ending….the black cloud forever has been looming over us employees,but if you stop now, there would be no harvest….you want to give up? There would be no harvest,just please keep on “planting”,you know what i’m trying to say…..if you stop now,what would you reap??I don’t want to be out of a regular job.I have a right to it…the lump sum I stand to get would not last very long,In my 19 yrs,my pay isn’t that great,but since I love what i do,i’m fine with that,I have simple needs anyway.. I want the other benefits too that comes with having a regular job,until i reach retirement age….believe me I won’t be rich when i reach that age,but i know i would still be happy anyway. because I did what I loved to do…give me 400%,i still would not sign…for those who did,we all have our own priorities and reasons,i respect your decision….when others have difficulty in doing so…

I will fight till the end,because i love what I do,not saying you don’t,again you too should be understood and respected,if you have gotten resistance,or negative remarks,I apologize for that,tempers fly,whether right or wrong in this aspect,you too need to be understood and respected, we are still the masters of our own lives….again i apologize..

I know in this battle,we will succeed,I will not be unflinching with my purpose,i will not give up on my dream that I will still be a PAL employee till I reach 65,no matter what…harvest day will come,I just need to plant more and continually ,uncessantly…then I harvest,I envision that,holding a cold Pale Pilsen,WOW,my friends don’t give up,believe that harvest is coming…. remember that in the planting season,not all seeds will grow,that’s how I look at it,many seeds will die,I have to plant and plant,I do not have any fears,because i know I will get what I deserve…. yes we win some,lose some,that’s how life is,but to win….I need to “sow”more…if you’re losing heart,i will do that for you….I won’t quit doing so….

April 26,2010 out termination letters were signed and served,our last day was supposed to be May 31,2010,yet we are still here….We have the right and the best leaders,I will never lose my respect for them….nor my support….Mabuhay kayo lahat!!!

Please don’t listen to information from management and it’s supporters with deception that some officers accepted that package….Why are management people are dead set to get our signatures,if the order is legal and final….simply because they want our signatures “affixed” on the documents to legalize it…..think about it….Their have been a few paleans who were harrassed to sign the notice of termination who have retracted,i saw some of them this afternoon but they were not from the airport….anybody who have signed and who want to retract can go to the Palea office…it’s lawyers will take care of the affidavits….To the young and very young employees,I appeal that you trust our officers,that is important….without them we have long been goners….You the young are in the crossroads,but the road to success is UNITY,which is a very strong weapon….Have you not been wondering why is it it for 2 years they still could not implement our termination,it is in SOLIDARITY that we continue to be strong….that is why management is aggressive to break the unity that we have….SOLIDARITY is a very strong weapon….
