Activist farmers mull plunder raps vs Arroyo for fertilizer fund scam – Interaksyon.com.

MANILA, Philippines – Activist farmers on Tuesday bared plans to file plunder charges against former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo and some of her Cabinet officials as they vowed there would be no let-up in their search for justice for the P728-million fertilizer fund scam.

Anakpawis party-list Representative Rafael Mariano, one of the complainants in the impeachment case against resigned Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez, said their lawyers are now studying the evidence gathered for the aborted impeachment trial and are looking at all options, including filing plunder case before the Department of Justice.
“After Gutierrez’s resignation that forms part of her continuing obstruction of justice on the fertilizer fund scam, we will continue to seek justice for the victims of Arroyo’s plunder,” Mariano, who also heads the peasant group Kilusang Magbubukid ng Pilipinas (KMP), said.
