As the government advances its proposed Philippine 2026 National Budget, questions of fiscal responsibility must be confronted not only in terms of how much the state spends, but more importantly, who ultimately bears the cost of its economic choices? The P6.793 trillion General Appropriations Act, signed into law by Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on January 5, 2026, now sets the direction of public spending for the year ahead.

Join us as we tackle the pressing issues of deficit, debt, and taxes in this Media Forum on the 2026 National Budget: 2026 National Budget, Bad Ba? Co-organized by the Freedom from Debt Coalition, Philippine Movement for Climate Justice, Sanlakas, Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates, in partnership with PLM – Partido Lakas ng Masa, Teachers’ Dignity Coalition (TDC) and Social Watch Philippines.
