Balanga City, Bataan, June 8, 2024 – In celebration of World Oceans Day, a significant climate action event was organized by the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) BPSU Chapter and the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Upper Tuyo in collaboration with the Young Bataeños for Environmental Advocacy Network (Young BEAN). The initiative aimed to raise environmental awareness and promote the importance of tree planting among the local youth.

The event saw enthusiastic participation from the youth of Upper Tuyo, who gathered to listen to environmental advocate Kuya Eugene. Through an engaging discussion, Kuya Eugene highlighted critical environmental issues, emphasizing the role of trees in combating climate change and protecting marine ecosystems.
