In the latest installment of TAuMBAYAN Live, Episode 5, a dynamic blend of in-person and virtual participation marked the launch of the “Buhat Mo Buhat Ko” donation drive. The episode featured live coverage of a feeding program, engaging discussions with families affected by the recent Happyland, Tondo fire in collaboration with Upskills+ Foundation Inc.

On April 5 at 4 pm, viewers joined the TAuMBAYAN Online Live Discussion to delve into the fundamental rights of housing, food, and livelihood. The focus was on shedding light on the challenges faced by marginalized communities, particularly in the aftermath of the devastating fire in Road 10, Happyland, Tondo, Manila. This blaze displaced 652 families and left 2,409 individuals homeless, underscoring the urgent need to amplify the voices of the marginalized and catalyze concrete support and initiatives for the community.

Upskills+ Foundation Inc., a newly established organization, operates primarily in Tondo, working closely with barangays near the Smokey Mountain Dump Site. Their partnership in this endeavor reflects a shared commitment to addressing the needs of vulnerable communities and fostering sustainable solutions to pressing social issues.
