Si Daryl, ayon sa kuwento ng kanyang inang si Corazon Fortuna, ay parehong pangkaraniwan at ‘di pangkaraniwan. Tulad ng marami, mahilig siyang magbasa, tahimik lang, isang mapagmahal na anak. At tulad ng iilan, pinili niyang pag-aralan at magagap ang kalagayan ng lipunan.

Pero si Daryl ay si Daryl, at mula nang iwinala siya noong March 9, 2010 ay hindi pa rin siya naililtaw. Kilalanin si Daryl, isang anak at kapatid, isang kabataang aktibista, isang desaparecido.
