Human Rights Online Philippines, or HRonlinePH.com, founded in March of 2011, was born out of a collective desire to champion the cause of human rights in the digital sphere, where voices could echo beyond borders and barriers.

As the years unfurled, so did the fervor of the HR Pinduteros, the dedicated individuals and groups who tirelessly worked to inform, inspire, and mobilize others in the fight for human rights. Each December brought with it a momentous occasion – the #HumanRights Pinduteros Choice Awards, where the tireless efforts of these champions were celebrated and honored.

At the inaugural awards ceremony in December 2011, held at the cozy confines of Crystal Ship Café, the stage was set for a tradition that would endure for over a decade. The 2nd awards ceremony, held in December 2012 at the prestigious PETA Theater, marked a turning point, solidifying the HR Pinduteros’ place in the annals of online activism.

In 2017, atop the Sky Garden of Hive Hotel & Convention Place, the HR Pinduteros gathered under the stars, their spirits undimmed by the challenges that lay ahead.
