The Influential and Empowered Youth of Iligan City, is the youth social media campaign arm of the Health Alliance Volunteers Association, a local health alliance committed to advocating for universal access to healthcare including rehabilitative services for drug dependency.
This dynamic group of young netizens is formed primary to spark positive behavioral shifts by championing a rights-based approach to addressing drug and substance abuse. By reframing the discourse on illegal drug use as a public health issue, they strive to cultivate a more compassionate and supportive community to combat stigma and discrimination.
This initiative operates within the framework of a broader endeavor spearheaded by the Medical Action Group as part of the Initiative for Advancing Community Transformation, supported by The Asia Foundation.
Together, they are dedicated to nurturing a healthier and more empowered society where human rights especially the right to health is respected. #YouthEmpowerment #PublicHealth
