BAN Toxics conducted an information drive in Quiapo Manila to call the attention on the proliferation of banned and prohibited skin lightening products tainted with health damaging Mercury.
To raise the concern, BAN Toxics showcased the skin lightening products (SLPs) that are banned by the Food and Drug Administration from 2010 to 2023. The group likewise disseminated information on the health effects of mercury and a public health advisory info materials to bystanders and beauty shop owners and encouraged to stop the selling and eventually removed from the shelves the prohibited SLPs to prevent mercury exposure.
BAN Toxics will continue its monitoring and awareness campaign efforts to known market hubs in Metro Manila to end the proliferation of mercury-added SLPs in the market. #BANToxics #MakeMercuryHistory #Notomercuryaddedcosmetics #toxicfreefuture
