Social welfare office expands projects for poor in 2014 | Sun.Star.

THE Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is expanding the coverage of the pro-poor programs of the government in Western Visayas by 2014.
The government projects are Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps), Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-CIDSS), and the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP).
DSWD Assistant Regional Director Joel Galicia said the province of Antique was selected as the pilot area for the convergence program with other government agencies in the region.
By 2014, the 4Ps program will be extended to children aged 18 years old from the usual 14 years old as beneficiary of the program.
