Screening of two video documentaries “Alas-as: Sitting on a Volcano” and “Minera:Women-miners of Benguet”

Dear colleagues,
The UP Third World Studies Center cordially invites you to the screening of two video documentaries “Alas-as: Sitting on a Volcano” and “Minera:Women-miners of Benguet” on 15 August 2013 (Thursday) from 2:30 to 5:00 in the afternoon, at the Audio Visual Room, PH 207, College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, Palma Hall, University of the Philippines-Diliman. These documentaries are part of a video documentary project between University of the Philippines and University of Montreal, where Filipino, French, and French-Canadian students produced
documentaries focusing on issues of socioeconomic development and equity and the impact of extractive industries on people.
This event is free and open to the public.
