Launching of the National Food Campaign
The National Food Coalition headed by the Foodfirst Information and Action Network (FIAN)-Philippines and the Peoples Development Institute for Asia (PDI) together with the Philippine Alliance of Human Rights Advocates (PAHRA) and Philippine Human Rights Information Center (PHILRIGHTS) will launch the National Food Campaign which aims to push for a comprehensive national policy on the right to food.
Together with the National Food Campaign, the 5th Right to Food and Nutrition Watch Magazine will be launched, a publication which provides information and analysis on the right to food. There will also be a painting competition with the theme “Ang Pangarap Kong Bayan” to be judged in the afternoon.
More than 300 participants all over the country representing more than 50 people’s organizations and NGOs will attend the conference.
The conference will be on October 15, 2012, from 8am until 5pm at Bulwagang Tandang Sora, College of Social Work and Community Development, UP Diliman, Quezon City.
