Defying a court order, exclusive Catholic school St. Theresa’s College (STC) Cebu barred two graduating high school students who reportedly posted pictures of themselves in bikinis online, from marching during the school’s graduation ceremonies last Friday.

In a video report by GMA 7‘s 24 Oras, STC security personnel were seen closing the campus gate when the students arrived. Sheriff Manuel Jimeno of the Cebu City Regional Trial Court (RTC), who served the temporary restraining order issued by judge Wilfredo Navarro of Branch 19 on Thursday, was likewise barred by the guards from entering the STC campus.

It was reported that the STC administration filed a motion for reconsideration on the TRO, but one the student’s legal counsel, Enrique Lacerna, said that he has not received a copy of the motion. He said that he will consider asking the court to cite STC in contempt.

Navarro earlier penned that STC’s sanction would be “un-Christian and possibly illegal,” Interaksyon reports.
