BETA TESTING: PARA-LEGAL TRAINING ON LINE
Dear HRDs,
Magandang hapon po.
PAHRA is an awardee of the KASAMA project. The project is an on-line training of para-legal course to be implemented from this month to January 2013.
During our CSO-PIMM meeting in January 31, we asked each organization of their Focal Person and also asked if the focal persons have already undergone para-legal training and you were one of those who answered “not yet”.
In this light, we would like to invite you as one of the target enrolees for the training course that will further your skill on your work as human right defender. The whole training course is now being developed which will include the following modules (still draft) .
I. HR & HRD concepts / principles
II. Para- legal training / Documentation – Monitoring training
a. Roles/Functions
b. Knowledge
c. Skills
d. Attitude/values
III. Laws and Policies related to task as PL
a. Protection for PLs
b. Relevant policies – international
– National
– Criminal justice system
– Court procedures
As part of the process of developing the course to the actual start of the training, a beta-testing or a “dry-run” will be conducted and we would like to encourage your participation – enrolment to the testing. The testing will only cover 2 topics in one of the modules .We will be the guidelines as soon as we completed the testing topics.
Your participation in this testing will greatly assist us in ensuring that our on-line course will be successful. This is a pilot endeavour and only limited enrolees will be accommodated , around 100 HRDs.
We hope that you will accept this invitation to be a participant in the beta-testing. We will be waiting for your response so we can request others if you could not. But we hope you will.
Marami pong salamat!
Rose
