Noy favors passage of RP bill | The Philippine Star News Headlines.
MANILA, Philippines – President Aquino insisted yesterday that he favors the passage of the controversial reproductive parenthood bill despite threats of ex-communication from the Catholic Church.

Aquino said that he is determined to push for the responsible parenthood (RP) bill that the government badly needs in light of the booming population.
In a speech he delivered at the University of the Philippines commencement exercises, he reiterated that he is not afraid of threats apparently from the Roman Catholic Church.
“Even if others say that I should be excommunicated. We have to listen to all even to those whose minds are already closed,” he said, drawing applause from the students and UP officials.
