The Rural Poor Institute for Land and Human Rights Services (RIGHTS), Inc.,
a non-government organization working on agrarian reform and rural
development seeking applicants for the following positions for a Yolanda
rehabilitation project:

1) Project Coordinators
2) Sustainable Agriculture Officers
3) Communications and Development Officers
4) Community Organizers

*Descriptions of responsibilities*

*A. **Project Coordinator*

1. Leads in organizing major activities of the project including
trainings, workshops and consultations and actual delivery of
rehabilitation support for Yolanda survivors
2. Coordinates a rehabilitation project with civil society,
government agencies and other service providers in the project area
3. Supervises field personnel and leads in planning, assessment and
evaluation
4. Writes regular monthly project reports
5. Represents the institution in meetings and forums related to the
implementation of the project
6. Prepares budget proposals and concept notes, request cash advances
for activities and liquidates with appropriate supporting documents
7. Assist in monitoring budget use and maintaining revolving fund for
day to day project operation and request for fund replenishment
8. Monitors budget availability of the project area
*Qualifications:*
· Graduate of a four-year college degree course
· With at least two years of experience in rural development work
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Willingness to stay in the field for long periods is an advantage
B. *Communications and Development Officer*

*Responsibilities*

1. Works with the Project Coordinator in formulating a communication
and development plan
2. Documents key project activities
3. Writes analysis of issues affecting the survivors in project areas
4. Undertakes the development and delivery of overall communications
strategy and implementation
5. Manages communications, including press releases and website
presence
6. Assists in events planning and management
7. Writes and submits progress report
8. Performs other tasks deemed necessary

*Qualifications:*
• Excellent communications skills, specially writing and editing
• Background and knowledge of development and/ or media work
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• At least two years of experience in development and/ or communications
work

*C. **Community Organizers*

1. Organizes project beneficiaries and sectors targeted by the project
2. Formulates and implements campaign and advocacy plans in the area
of assignment s
3. Coordinates project activities in the area of assignment
4. Co-ordinate joint campaign and advocacy activities with the other
members of the project team
5. Initiate alliances with other organizations within the
area/municipality of assignment
6. Writes and submits regular progress report
7. Performs other tasks deemed necessary

*Qualifications*
• Good writing and verbal communications skills
• Background and knowledge of development work
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Background and knowledge on human rights and agrarian reform work

*Sustainable Agriculture Officer*

1. Implements and manages the sustainable agriculture component of a
rehabilitation project for Yolanda survivors
2. Develops sustainable agriculture training modules for farmers and
fisher folks in Yolanda area
3. Organizes class room trainings and field-based trainings for
project beneficiaries
4. Links up/initiates partnership with government agencies for
extension/technical and marketing support for the beneficiaries of the
project
5. Writes and submits regular progress reports
6. Performs other tasks deemed necessary

*Qualifications*

· Graduate of BS Agriculture
· At least two years of professional experience
· Excellent skills in written and verbal communications
· Willingness to stay in the field is an advantage

*Finance Officer *

*Responsibilities*
1. Undertakes fiscal management for RIGHTS Network and its projects
2. Creates and maintains the accounting plan, updating it when necessary
3. Applies financial procedures and forms
4. Prepares financial reports – monthly, quarterly or as needed
5. Assists in undertaking sustainability efforts for the coalition,
including fundraising events
6. Writes budget proposals
7. Checks the budget and recommends approval of cash advances and cheques
liquidations
8. Attends to statutory obligations like SSS, Philhealth, Pag-ibig and BIR,
etc
9. Performs other tasks deemed necessary

*Qualifications:*

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• At least two years of experience as management accountant
